If you have all the sliders maxed than that is to be expected. Your computer is ok but the 9200 is slow.

The solutions:
1. Tune your stuff down so you can get a higher FPS.
2. Buy a new graphics card that is faster.

Um, 1.3 fps is not a "too many sliders to the right" problem, that's a computer problem.

Make sure the mobo drivers are installed, and experiment with different drivers for everything else.

Dude! I had the exact same problem! Installed a radeon 9800XT and a 3.2 AMD cpu and frames were at 2.5 even with DEFAULT scenery!!!! It was the end of my world!! LOL

What i did was
1 Reinstall DirectX 9.0b
2 Reinstalled my chipset mobo drivers
3 reinstalled my graphic card drivers

and the frames were back up to normal. Still not humming as i would have expected but you will find the files needed to run things properly will all be fixed.

try it, you cant lose anything and it DID help me bro

See you

Doug,

Did you ever check and see what Windows recognizes your chip as and what speed it is running at?

Hope this helps,
Jim

I did, and noticed that when i boot up it recognizes the chip as AMD 3.2 GIG running at 2254.2 MGHZ

Is this what it should be?

I tried to overclock it but didnt work out well!

thanks for any tips

Doug

Yes, that is what should be reported. Plenty of info on Google. I would suggest reading a bit before attempting.

Hope this helps,

Second that...

The athlon XP 3200+ 'performes' liked a P4 3.2 ghz because it is more efficient. However its clock speed is 2.2 ghz.
