installed in PCI Slot one? I just bought this system and its slower than I thought.

With most things maxed except weather, in Seattle, Fair weather, default 172, I get about 8-10 FPS. My system is

Athlon 64 3400+
9800 Pro 128
1 GB RAM
SATA hard drive

I feel I should be getting better frame rates than that.

I am wondering if something is wrong in the video card setting. I know its installed in AGP slot, but says its installed in PCI slot. What do you think is wrong? is this possibly the cause of low frame rates?

I get the same, but it is installed in AGP and works fine. I think that the AGP is numbered as PCI 1.

Depending on what your AA and AF settings are you should be getting way more than that.

At Seattle with everything maxed (except autogen at very dense and mi mapping at 5) in fair weather I get 25-30fps on the ground. Thats with 100% AI and I have EVERY ProjectAI package installed.
My AA is set to 2x and AF at 4xQuality. With those settings maxed out it drops to around 10.

Here is my setup just for reference:
P4 2.8Ghz
1GB DDR333
Gigabyte Radeon 9600Pro
60GB HDD

I'm not sure what the rest of your setup is or what you have installed but I would think you should be getting more FPS. Hope you sort it out.
