I need a new video card to run FS2004 with all the graphics turned up full....mine won't handle it.
Not too expensive if possible.
Any suggestions as to what sort of card to purchase?

Hi, phil27554

Ti4200 is the less expensive card that can get everything you need.

I just bought a 5900XT for $180 and it blew my mind away at the kind of performance this card puts out. You can purchase from MSI or EVga, which are two good vendors and both cards come with nice packages. I had a 5600 Ultra and this card put it to shame, instantly. It will even smoke the 9600XT from ATI since the 5900XT has 256-bit memory interface versus the 128-bit that comes with the 9600XT.

The 9800 is also a good card but it will cost you an additional $50 to $60 and the performance difference is not much. Both the 9800 and 5900XT have 8 pipes and 256-bit memory.

The ATI Radeon 9800 Pro is now on sale at Comp USA for $199.

I'd recommend a 9100IGP based motherboard or a 865G motherboard-the 9100igp has better onboard graphics, if that's a budget option, if not go for a Geforce FX5200/FX5600/FX5700/FX5950/PCX-5950-I'm buying a 256MB one for AUD115
