Hi,
I just got a FX5900(128mb) on saturday to replace my archaic MX440 and i ahd a question about the temperature it is running at. On the temp moniter it says that the core slowdown is set @ 145C. the GPU temp hovers in the mid\upper 40 range (44-48C) while the ambient temp (inside the case i assume) reads 36C. Is the GPU temp running too high? I have a card below the fan on the GPU and i was wondering if i should move it to cool the card down some(not easy)?

Is the temp reading when a program like FS9 is running or is that idle speed? It's a LITTLE high for idle and just about right for full load.

that is the idle temp (only thing running is all the BS windows puts in the background) After running FS, i get about 52C

That's not bad. Your card is doing just fine. That is why there is such a big fan on the card :)

Good to hear that... Now if i can just figure out why the fan only seems to be turning on with the PC idle
