How do I install the drivers I just downloaded from the ATI website? I don't understand the instructions.

Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs

Uninstall the ATi Display Drivers and ATi Control Panel, there is also a little gizmo on the ATi site which purports to do this, but it sometimes leaves a few remnants in your Windows System directory.

As you are in Win98SE, you now need to reboot and use the standard VGA drivers for the next 2 minutes.

On restart, run the EXE file you downloaded - I'd recommend choosing the express setup option in the checkbox menu. Just click all the relevant yes / no boxes and let the system reboot again.

On this final restart, right-click / Active Desktop / Customize My Desktop and reset the resolutions and refresh rates etc to their previous settings. You can then also tweak the filter settings to your liking.
