I bought FS2004 yesterday installed it and im sitting on the end of the runway sounds fine looks ok i put the throttle forward and bang, it becomes completely unplayable almost freezing in a frame for 1-2 seconds, this is only on the ground however, in the air it is alot better.
Im hoping somebody can help as it is quite annoying.

My system specs are

XP 2800
128MB GeForce 4 MX440
512mb RAM
Sound Blaster Live
Asus A7N8X Running at 333 FSB

Is there any known games or files thant conflict with it?

I hope to here some replies :)

Thanks - Rob

Unfortunately, your video card is a bit of a weak link in your system. I assume you may be having this problem at the default start-up airport (SeaTac) which is in one of the most system-taxing areas in the World to fly in due to enhanced scenery, terrain, builings, etc.

With your card I would try moving back your sim sliders some, especially the cloud settings. Then try taking off from a non-enhanced airport in the middle of nowhere surrounded by flat terrain. You should see marked improvement. There are many other system and sim tweaks as well that can be learned in the FS2004 forum as well.
Good Luck !
