What kind of sound card.
Do it manually. I see you are running Windows 98, so I will guide you from memery as I use XP.
Go to control panel the double click on the system icon then go to device manager, double click on sound, video and game controllers icon then double click on the sound card icon then click on update driver. Browse to where you have those files on your harddrive and try to install them from there.

Thanks Trevor!

My brother fixed it.

We couldn't figure out which file was a driver. And I didn't even pay attention to what he did, but, it works. Thanks!

I'm at grandma's so I don't have much time, and thanks in advance!

System says the sound card is working properly, but we're not getting any sound at any time. Sound apps like WMP are telling me through the online troubleshooter that there is no sound card installed.

Which leads me to believe the driver is goofed up. So I downloaded a new one and I can't for life of me figure it out. I don't even know if it's the right driver. Can someone please tell me how to install this? Apparently the autorun file (drvgdtk1.exe) didn't autorun.

Thanks again!
