Upgrade question

Can you guess what's coming in a little more than a month? Summer? No. Fs2006? No.

Christmas. Which translate as Money. :)

I'll buy a new hard drive that's sure. But i need advice on the second upgrade. I don't know what would be better between a new video card or a processor upgrade.

First here is my current system

P4 1.7ghz
512mb RAM
ATI 9000 Pro 128MB
30G hard drive

My options are

Video cards:
1) ATI 9600 PRO
2) ATI 9800 PRO

Processor :

3) P4 2.8Ghz 512K 800
4) P4 3.0Ghz 512K 800

So what do you think would be the best choice? I have to chose one of those options.

Sry I don't know much about the ATI card, but #2 has been getting alot of attention.... as for processor, for sure #4.... aqueeze out every bit of perforemance you can afford....

Go with the processor man. Sure the video card wont exactly be on par with the p4, but then wouldn't you rather have speed than the latest graphics? I'd rather be able to run fs like a bat out of hell than have it look pretty and run slower than your granny.
