I have used FSNav for many years and decided it would be better if it had it's own screen. I found the answer on ?Bay and it's called a DVI to VGA adapter. It cost 5 bucks including shipping.
There are 2 types and mine was a DVI-I adapter so check your card before you order to be sure which one you need.

I just plugged the adapter onto the unused digital monitor output on my ATI card connected my old spare monitor and suddenly I have 2 monitors for FS.
It took a few minutes to get it going but now it's great. FSNav is always on screen.
Wish I'd done this years ago.

Are you required to use MSFS in "Windowed" mode when using two screens, or can you use it in "Full Screen" mode (on the primary monitor)?

Nice, isn't it !

I've been using dual monitors for some years now, and like the extra screen "real estate".

Greg - results vary. With my GeForce 6800 I've never had any problems with un-docked windows on the second monitor in FullScreen Mode, but with ATI cards I have read of some users who have seen limitations (FSNavigator "locked" when in FullScreen Mode, for instance)

This is likely to be a combination of specific cards and/or specific drivers.

I've had no issues with full screen.
I did spend 5 minutes figuring out how to set the resolution on the second monitor but that's all.

I do get a slight flicker on the primary and increasing the refresh rate to 120 hasn't helped much. Today we tackle that one. The secondary is perfect.
