I have uninstalled it an re-installed it again after rebooting the computer and still it will give me a message to transmit the error message to Microsoft. The problem doesn't occurr on every aircraft. However, I have installed fsedit on my brother's computer and was able to open an aircraft that I wasn't able to do so on my computer. We are both running Norton's Antivirus 2006 on both computers. So I don't thing it is the antivirus. I have checked the properties of both air files and there is no difference. What could be causing it. I have Windows defender as well, but disabled it with no change in the problem. I even disabled the antivirus as well. I also redownloaded the original zip file and reinstalled. I did copy it to the correct directory. It is working for some planes. Is there another program that can view these files or is there a fix that can resolve my problem? Help!

Hi Mike
Um Fsedit is real good at mucking up airfiles and cfg files dont use it
I dont know anybody that has used it without probs :)
Your better of using aired(for airfiles) and notepad(aircraft.cfg)
try here for AirED and info on cfg files

Thanks a bunch! Yep it does mess things up a bunch. Especially on panels. It duplicates guages while removing others at the same time. I am going to give AirED a try. Thanks a gain.
Once I get the air files mastered I want to give gmax a shot for my first model and see how it goes. Is there any reference source or application that I can use to determine the necessary information for air and config files? I understand that there have been some problems with gmax as well so I guess I will eventually upgrade to something else.
Mike
P.S. It looks as though we are heading down to the design forum for sure. Thanks again.
