Hi all!
Is there a setting allowing to improve night performance? I have serious problem with detailed sceneries at night: ex I get good FPS (around 12) during day in Mega Airport Frankfurt from Aerosoft using complex planes (ex PPS320), all textures load rapidly. BUT during night... disaster, it's almost impossible to fly there, if I change the view from front to right (ex) it take a lot to load…
By the way, why is night so demanding?
My specs:
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
barton 2500+
512 DDRAM
Quantum 7200 rpm
Remained unchanged :
ATI Gecube 9550
Sound card: Creative Audigy
Many thanks.

I don't know, at night mine soar in to the hundreds!!
I will check a few larger cities and see what happens!!

Thanks Kimber. I get excellent FPS myself in default sceneries during night. The problem occurs only at big addons.

Your example of long load time during change of view is not a problem of FPS! I have had that problem with some high quality aircraft. My guess is that you have too large of night cockpit textures that take time to load. (specially if you have limited memory on your graphics card. Once the textures are loaded, do you still have low frame rates?

A thing you can do if you have an addon cloud textures generator is switch it to a lower quality, you won't be able to tell at night anyway.

Thanks for the answers.
Fredla, you are right… when the textures are loaded I have decent FPS.
Ben, I will try your tip.

Thanks, J.F. I will have to do that, but I have just upgraded my PC :)) (I had DDRAM and a much older motherboard).
