I'm al little perplexed here. Andrew describes the installer as being a 155 Mb download with the Flight1 wrapper. He then offers a link to http://www.fspilotshop.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=76&products_id=630 , where what is for sale is a boxed version at USD34.95 + shipping (in my case that'd be another USD25). FSPilotshop does not sell the download version.

Fs2Crew, however, have the download version at http://www.fs2crew.com/downloads.htm where the package costs only USD24.95. The best part, of course, is that you can have it NOW.

You would have to describe Andrew's review as highly favourable, and my recent experience with the product, having bought it from fs2crew, would suggest that he was absolutely correct (especially about how demanding it is!!)

I have found Mr Herd's reviews in the past to be extremely helpful- helpful in getting me to spend money, that is!! I've never been disappointed after aquiring a product that has received his praises. A review by him is obviously a terrific way of advertising a product.

I do not, however, understand why he would review a product that he obviously installed via a download and then refer the reader to a site where a more expensive and non-downloadable product was available.

Not really complaining, just curious. I'd've bought the product about 8 hours earlier had I known where to find the d/l version.

regards,

Jeff
BTW, FS2Crew ATR is extremely hard core!!!!

I didn't read the review, but possibly it would have been better to have both the link to the D/L version and a link to the boxed version? Some people do prefer a boxed version of software versus download, but many, many simmers are using the Flight1 Wrapper downloads to purchase instantly. For me, it's the only way to go :)
