Everytime I fly FS9.. the screen goes black and the Microsoft "Problem Box" pops up. I send the info.. but I don't receive any help. Here is what it tells me the problem is...
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9\fs9.CFG.txt
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9\dxdiag.xml
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9\scenery.cfg
I have unistalled fs2004/fs9 and reinstalled everything. I have even went as far as reformatting my computer. But, to no avail.. the crash continues.
I have never had this problem before. Everything has been fine for the last year. This problem has recently begun.
Someone please help!

Hi,
go to that folder and delete those three files. The only files you should have in that DIR is the FS9.CFG and a wxstationlist.BIN. Leave the three yellow folders alone though.
MSFS dumps those odd files in that DIR when changes have been made and conflicts arise, and ends up giving all kinds of problems if left in there.
There is already a scenery.cfg in the MAIN Fs9 DIR, that's the one FS uses to read the scenery.
EDIT** ... Forgot to mention, that DIR is a hidden one, and to view it open Windows explorer. Along the top select Tools/Folder Optios then click on the View tab and check the Show hidden files and folder.

Thanks also, Bob.
Have printed out your suggestions and will go through those, before sending the computer for repair...

Ok...
I tried the suggestion above, and it didn't work. Bummer.
Then, 2 days later my entire computer crashed. So... I went and bought an entire new hard drive and a brand new copy of FS just to start over.
For some strange reason, the same thing is still happening. FS9 crashes and I still receive the same error message. How could this be?
I find it to be very strange that I get a new hard drive & new copy of FS and I receive the same exact problem.
I do have the Abacus Airbus A380 installed. Could that be it?

Don't quite understand this. When you installed your new version, given the fact that you were previously having problems, didn't you test it before you added any other aircraft?
So delete your Abacus aircraft and try it.
I can tell you that I was having a nightmare one time, with frequent crashes. I would be at an airport and slew around. It would be fine until my aircraft was pointed in one direction and, lo and behold, a crash. I pinned it down to one particular aircraft out of many, eventually, so you have to eliminate your other aircraft.
