View Full Version : Apparent loss of scenery textures

I'm looking for the scenedb folder in FS9. I don't know if its supposed to still exist or somehow I've deleted or overwritten it.

Not in FS9. You can create one and place your addons there if you like.

Thanks for your quick reply Douglas. I had seen some replacement textures which said they should be installed in the scenedb folder, but possibly they were referring to a folder in FS2002.
I seem to have some messed up textures for scenery in parts of Canada, i.e. roads that look brown and a lack of greeney. I must have overwritten something, but have'nt figured out what. There are just too many darn files in FS9.

I was wondering the same thing a while back. FS9 does not have a scenedb folder.
Simply use the AddonScenery folder already provided.
Even though FS doesn't care where you put your new sceneries, it is good to keep them in one folder, so they aren't scattered all over your FS9 folder.

Even better, put your added sceneries in a folder outside of FS2004 ! As Gary says, FS2004 doesn't care where they are as long as they're properly referenced in the scenery.cfg file.

Did you recently install the excellent Aussie scenery VOZ? I discovered after doing so all my roadways in Canada were brown. By "unvozing", as you can do, the problem disappeared. Selecting another region from the VOZ program the problem was solved.

Yes, I did install VOZ and I thought I had uninstalled it but maybe I have to reinstall it and try again.
Thanks for the tip.
