Hello everyone. Just like many of you out there, I've got about 120 planes, cool sounds, sceneries... that have altogether taken a few kazillion hours to download and install. I got so afraid of losing everything that I got a DVD burner just to backup everything.

I've copied the FS9 base folder (the one with all the airplanes, effects, etc.).

Must I also copy the following data:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrateur\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9 ???

Am I forgetting anything?

Thank you for your help.

I would...it keeps the fsconfig file around...saves your settings.

Dave,

Since you have installed alot of addons, you may want to check to see if they have any folders that reside outside of the FS9 folder. Also, make sure that if you have installed payware, that you make copies of the registration keys which may or may not be located within the FS9 base folder.

Remember the files residing in the "My Documents\Flight Simulator Files" folder where your saved flights, previous flight, logbook, flight plans and backup voice file (if you use EditVoicepack) and perhaps other stuff from other installations might be found.

Sure would hate to try to remember all the places where I've saved a flight and try to recreate the weather that I had then...

Do you zip and 'hanger' your aircraft with something like FlightSimManager; where are those files?

Do you use the FSMMoving Map? Are the maps in the FS9 installation tree?

Do you have backups for replaced files?
Do you have any files associated with any utility programs that need to be included, or even notes made during an installation.

I got a DVD burner for MUCH the same reason but I keep feeling that I'm overlooking something important...
