The FS community seems to have three generalized areas of interest. Military avaition, larger commercial avaition and VFR type general avaition.

Having spent time with the first two I think I'd like to get more into the VFR arena. I've found the northwest to be a good place to start.

I've looked at the two add-on titles in the subject and both seem interesting. I am curious how others feel about these titles, particularly in comparing them.

Any other suggestions for adding to the realism of the scenic flying side of FS would be greatrly appreciated. I see all the options available in the way of land class addtions and don't really understand them well enough to gauge their value to the sim.

Thanks!

btw... if anyone has a copy of one of these they'd like to sell feel free to contact me.

The following thread contains some side-by-side comparisons of default and add-on mesh.

http://www.flightsim.com/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=6&topic_id=132191&mesg_id=132191&listing_type=search

Mesh is not the same as sceneries, which add specific detail to a place, sometimes completely fictional.

As I understand it, land class is what defines the surface of the mesh as forest, farmland, city, etc.

you might like these two series of screenshots I have for Orcas and Emma Field.

This first one is just Emma Field

http://www.the-airfield.com/screenshot_galleries/north_america/usa/washington/USA_WA_EmmaField_CessnaCenturionII/WA_EmmaField_KEWL_CessnaCenturionII.html

This second lot is just images and shows Orcas to Emma Field

http://www.the-airfield.com/screenshot_galleries/north_america/usa/washington/USA_WA_Orcas_KORS_BonanzaA36/

Emma Field is neat with car traffic, nice scenery and birds flying as well as AI traffic and gliders.

There are many other payware GA spots for Washington from georender
