IMHO you can't go far wrong with a Saitek or a Sidewinder FF2. Trouble with the latter is I don't think MS do them anymore, but suggest check out www.saitek.com and look at their sticks. Some of them are a little pricey but I feel I have got my money out of my X45 although it's now beginning to fail slowly. I've had it 2 years under heavy use (and I mean heavy, I fly every day for a good 3 hours, and 6-8 hours at w/ends.) Alongside that I had the Sidewinder FF2 as my main stick, this too was beginning to let me down after three years of similar usage. Although this is only the hat that's gone.

I had good luck with the Saitek X45...I now have the Thrustmaster Cougar which is the bomb...modeled after the F-16 throttle and stick...really nice but expensive...

I have seen guys talking about a newer Saitek in some other threads with positive comments also...

I've never heard anything bad about Saitek although if all you use it with is FS, you might consider CH Yoke and Pedals.
