I’ve had fs9 about a week. It seems that flying the Robinson helicopter would be easier in virtual cockpit because of the increased view of the outside world. But in VC the instrument panel and gauges become too small to see clearly. I think having these elements a bit larger would give a good compromise between gauge readability and outside view of the landscape. This give rise to my questions.
1. The zoom factor in virtual cockpit seems locked in steps of 10, ie, 45, 55, etc. As the panel becomes larger, it slides from view hiding some gauges. Is there a config. file that could be edited to change the zoom factor to perhaps a 57-percent value?
2.The panel in the virtual cockpit does not show the icons such as radio stack and map. Is there a way to add those? If not, how does one use the radios in VC mode?
3. I would like to learn how to make the default panel and gauges in the virtual cockpit a tad larger. By playing around with different sizes and zoom factors maybe I could get exactly the panel/gauge size I want. If this is possible would someone give me the broad step by step overview of how this would be accomplished. I don’t expect detailed instructions, just the major steps. I’ll try to figure out the details as I go.
Thank you,
