Hello
Copy the GPS from another plane who has GPS into your Cessna Skylane RG.
You can find GPS in the panel.cfg.

yeah in the panel.cfg of an airplane that has a gps, copy the two parts relating to the GPS like below (
[Window Titles]
Window00=Old Style Panel Full
Window01=Old Style Panel Lowered
Window02=Modern Style Panel Full
Window03=Modern Style Panel Lowered
Window04=Zoomed RPM & Manifold
Window05=Zoomed Radio
Window06=Trim Display
Window07=GPS
in this case copy the Window07=GPS and paste in your panel.cfg for the plane you want a gps. Then copy the appropriate segment of the code such as below (just an example and won't be the same)
[Window07]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=456,378
window_size_ratio=1.000
position=8
visible=0
ident=7
window_size= 0.500, 0.500
window_pos= 0.000, 0.000
gauge00=fs9gps!gps_500, 0,0,456,378
Paste that into the area of the panel.cfg you want a gps for. You can change the numbers for both references to be the same if things already have numbers .
Those are just examples and will be different for you.

I recommend the Apollo (MX20) GPS. It is implemented in panel that was for the OV-10A (ov10pn2.zip, 863 kb) by 'Arthur' Khaosa-ard. Don't know if it can be found as a 'stand alone' file-I tried, but you can copy/paste the window to replace the 'fs9gps' window.
I like the Apollo because the 'texture' options stays on, even if I change range, or resize. I bugs me to have to re-do that on the the 'fs9gps'. A minor point, but that's 'me'.
I also hate it when the mouse gets repositioned to the center of the screen! I move it off to the edge, and when I am not looking, it get moved to the center again-I hate that! Grrrrr. Why? Why? Hope FS10 don't have this annoying 'help'.
