If just wanting to keep it simple, look for Chris Wills/FSW Group's new FS SkyWorld 2004 version 1.005, released I believe today. I just picked it up - check the files library here or at avsim.com.
Also there are some nice freeware weather situation files to download - to add into your FS9 weather situations, improved lightning files..

I also have FS Skyworld installed and really enjoy the product.

Yep, I'll second all those comments...
Active Sky 2004.5 + FS Skyworld + Chris Willis' fssyworld hifps cloudsets + a bit of time experimenting to find out what are the best cloud settings = high level of flightsim enjoyment (whilst keeping frame rate hits as minimal as possible on at least a half-decent rig.) :)

I get pretty good results with FSMetar (v1.5.5) combined with my home brewed DTX3 clouds. the beauty of this combination is it is all free :) so if you are not happy with the results you can just throw it away. Only problem i find is sometimes i cant see the ground or find the airports due to heavy weather.
