I could not registern into their support forum (and if it didn't work the first time, I won't bother contacting admin and go any farther)

ok, those who have it (experienced simmers), you should be able to help me. I bought the item last week, studied the manuals through out the week, and today I was going to execute a first flight. Three small questions:

1. there's no option in aircraft config manager to load as cold and dark. I load a default Cessna, shut down the battery and engines, then load the 767. But the thing loads with electical power on and it loads with some kind of problems of unknown origin... What the duce?!

2. see my after-start configuration in the picture below:

ok, my problem is when I shut off the APU after the engine start, I have no electrical power and the warning alarm goes on. I did everything as per the Normal Procedures (from the manual).
I have a "generator drive disconnect switch" light on (see above), is this part of the problem? I can't do nothing about it, it doesn't react to clicking. What to do?

3. FMS. I've read about it, a typical procedure as for most other FMSes, but I don't want to program the lateral part (waypoints) manually, I want to import the Company Flightplan. What is the story with a module (or something) that would allow me to export FSNav flightplans into Level D flightplan format?

The only option I see is to enter the whole thing manually. I enjoy programing the vertical part and weights, and that is as far as I want to go. So what's the story there?

The idea is to allow users to enter their Proof of Purchase Certificate Number after they register in the forums so only licensed users are able to recieve support.

I highly suggest you pursue contacting the ADMIN and becoming registered. Then ask your question after searching for a possible answer, and it is very likely it has already been answered.

The manual and their support forums have a massive amount of information.

It's your best bet!

I have the product, and I can confirm that the answers to your questions are in the manual. Let me echo Paul's suggestion that you try again to register at the forum.

Well, I am an owner of the Level D 767. I will say that all your answers are in the manual, and that you should try to register at the forums, it works only if you have bought the 767. I will go further and answer some of the question.

Question 1: Use the level-D sub-menu in-game . Select panel and then import panel, choose the cold and dark seatle flight. It won't place you in seattle but it will cold and dark the cockpit. In the manual

2. You need to use the level-D sub menu in game. Choose the option to communicate with the ground and have them reconnect the generator drives. If you doublclick generator drive switches it will disconnect them and they will be needed to be reconnected manually. In the manual also.

3. I can't tell you the link, because I don't remember it, but in the support forums search for flightplans or something like that and it is in amongst those links.

thanks Newguy, we're almost ready to fly.

#3 is still a problem though, to make my own flightplan, I have to buy an FSbuild and export the flightplan from there.
PMDG on the other hand, made a module that exports to FSNav.

edit: OK, I think I found something in their support forum about FSNav, looks like I will be flying the thing after all :) :)
Hopefully tomorrow I will have a chance to fire it up for good.

There's a brand new version of fsbuild that exports to the Level D 767.

BTw, although I got a message saying that there "appears to be a problem" with my registration - I'm nonetheless registered. My email to the admin was not favoured with a reply.

RTFM ;-) - It's well worth the effort.

regards,

Jeff
