I broke down and bought the carenado F33 and I can't see the numbers on the radio stack???? Anybody know how to fix this?

Just to clarify . . . I'm talking about the numerical display on the radio stack. It's blank????? Am I missing an add-on? I would expect a plane I paid $$ for to actually work. Help?

Did you contact Carenado about it?

Otherwise...

You might want to post a screen shot, and also consider a re-install, as it may just be caused by a corrupt install.

Can you pilot a plane, instead of programming an FMC to do it for you?

Yes, I have an email out to them. No response yet.

I tried installing it on my work computer also which has a completely clean fs installation on it (no extra planes/scenery/etc) with the exact same results.

I have the V35 from the same company which seems to have an almost identical panel. mine seems to work fine although when the aircraft is launched they are not switched on, what happened when you tried to switch them on? there is a small switch on the left of each unit below the number screens. you can operate the switches in either the 2D or virtual cockpit or on the pop-up.

Turn them on :)

There is a dial you can click.

They are on.

i'm sure you are not the first or last, nice bird BTW. how do you find the Corenado Bonanza compared to your real on?

It's pretty close. The real plane seems to lose speed a lot quicker by dropping the gear/flaps than the fs one does, but the actual yoke "feeling" is very close. Climbs like a goat, turns kind of sluggish (compared to a cessna), and lands nice and smooooooooth ;) I like it.

eta - I almost forgot - the real plane takes a mighty stiff right leg on takeoff to keep it running straight . . . the fs model doesn't.

which switch did you use? try loading the default flight, then change to the Bonanza then try turning the units on, they should work then. Mind you you seem to have the avionics power on as the top unit in the stack is turned on. as i said i have the same units as you and mine work fine.

Here's a screen shot. Notice the radio stack is blank. It's the same in virtual cockpit, too.

D'oh! You guys were right. I had the master switch on, but didn't realize each piece of equipment has it's own "on" switch. It works now. Go ahead and laugh at me.

Thanks everybody!

btw - here's a pic of my real BE33 ;)
