Okay so it might take me a while, but I figured out how to make a low poly count elephant into an autogen object!

Coming soon, neigborhood cats, dogs, wildlife and more for FS...

Possibilities:

Elephants
Giraffes
Humans
Rhinos
Hyenas
Kangaroos
Wallabies
Wombats
Coyotes
Dingos
Crocodiles
Dolphins & Whales
Gorillas
Polar Bears
Snakes (wouldn't that one be cool in the desert?)
Bears
Flamningos

more ideas to come...

Just a thought:

Would it be possible to have autogen cars to appear on roads (or near roads), tractors in the fields, etc?

How about ants? Billions of ants!
Or mosquitoes? Quadrillions of mosquitoes!
There must be a way to overstress even the next but one generation of processors!

MSES (Microsoft Earth Simulator) :-roll

Sorry, I was just asking because I rarely fly in Africa and therefore will not see the elephants often...:-shy

Great Idea, FS9 Sim and Safari combo. How bout a 357mag. to hunt them with.Fly to Serengeti, DE plane for the DE hunt. Many of us rabbit hunters would love it, I'm sure. But I think the Bass Masters may feel slighted. mmmmm! a cool snake in a hot dessert?
keep those Ideas coming now!
PS a wombat would look good in my trophy room.
VIN :LOL

This is something I'll be exploring with my next experiment project. Tractors I thought about last night and already have planned... :) The cars I'm sure are possible, I'll just have to figure out how...

I did make a Gigantic Fly for FS once in my experiments, theres screen shots in the SS forum...

In terms of processors go though, by the time I'd finish a package ready for release the processors should be able to run the extra detail without too many problems... The beaty of using hi rez meshes to start with is that I can always reduce the polycount to be backwards compatible with current systems instead of building, and rebuilding and rebuilding things in each successive version of FS... This should help reduce the time to make new designs live after a new FS release. Basically my philosophy is Desigining Tomorrows FS Enhancemesnts today...

MSES... I am sure hoping the program will grow to that point... Use the type of online texturing technology that Keyhole and NASA uses in their 3D earth programs... Have it so you can drive a car, fly a plain, or sail a ship within the sim. I've been dreaming of the day that comes for a couple of years now, and have even suggested it to microsoft. Not long after they released Train Sim, but it had a different scenery engine... I'm hoping someone at MS might read this thread and catch the vision, most of the work and platform is already in place to create such a sim...

Anything at turbosquid.com is possible... Hunting might be another matter and would need a module designed for FS to do that. I have considered adding local sounds to the wildlife tho...

A bit too onanistic for me. However, it is nice that everyone's wishes are being catered for. Good luck with this project. :-)

Well, now that you name it:

I'm still dreaming of the day Microsoft's flightsimulator will finally be able to accurately simulate at least a single engine prop aircraft!

I'm quite certain this is the first time the word 'onanistic' has appeared in this, or any flight simulator forum, lol.

I need to go look that word up in a dictionary...

There are several meanings. Make sure you get the right one ;-)
