If you have active camera you have to patch it so that it doesn't crash the program. Check your version of FSUIPC

Hi
I dont have active camera and my FSUIPC is ver 3.4 , i have just done a take off ..climb to 2500 and put it in a nose dive and crashed and had the illegal error come up straight away .

I would suggest going over to the PMDG site and checking out the notes there. I have both the 737s and no problem at all with them and the patch.

I have no problem with the patch and I have FUIPC 3.4. Did youmake certain that you had the ORIGINAL Cfg.exe file when you loaded the patch?
There were many people who adjusted the original Cfg.exe file so that FS9 would load up automatically without the use of disc #4. If you did not revert to the original cfg.exe file, FS9 will not work correctly after the patch.
I do not know what else could be the problem. If you did revert to the original cfg.exe file prior to loading the patch, or if you never made changes to this file, then remove the patch, and try reinstalling it.

Hi Rich,
I too have the FS 9.1 patch with the PMDG 737-600/700 (no 800/900 for they are too expensive for mere add-ons).
I have no problems with the PMDG which I've flown on several trips since then.
Other than checking the PMDG support forum as mentioned already, do what everyone should try in situations like yours : delete the STATE.CFG file from the PMDG aircraft folders which are found in X:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\[YOUR WINDOWS ACCOUNT NAME]\APPLICATIONS\MICROSOFT\FS9\AIRCRAFT\ (where X: is your drive where FS 2004 is installed). This is a file generated automatically everytime you load FS9 (or a particular aircraft) and you'll see a folder with the names of all the aircraft in above folder.
Also, you should delete PREVIOUS FLIGHT and UI GENERATED flight from the "My Saved Flights List" in FS. Make sure you start a FRESH flight with the PMDG and do not resume a saved flight. Failing that, you can also rename or delete the FS9.CFG file-this will reset all your settings (video, audio, button assignments etc...) to defaults as a new file is generated after restarting FS9 but I have had a "nose dive" once before (or an out of control aircraft) and other unexplained plane behaviours which were fixed by this deletion.
As for the FS9 program crashing, that's something I cannot help you with but above may work for that as well, since your plane first out of control and then the program crashes; so it's quite possible that your state.cfg and/or your fs9.cfg may be corrupt.
Hope this helps,
John
