Flying the Flight1 c310, how do I control the EGT and get the manifold pressure down?.. The MP seems always to be well above the green, and no matter what I do short of slowing right down I cannot reduce it. Does anyone know what the optimum EGT is for this aircraft?
Thanks. Teecee.

MAP is controlled by the throttles, EGT is controlled by the mixture.

What I tend to do is keep the MAP at specifed MAP (e.g. 32") then adjust the mixture till the EGT is 50DEG rich of peak.

You need to keep adjusting these all the time during the climb.
