For the past couple of weeks I've experienced a white semi-transparent square stretching for maybe 20 miles in each direction from under my aircraft. Because I'd recently installed UK Mesh and was flying almost exclusively in the UK I put it down to the scenery, because it SEEMED to be coincident with the installation. I had planned to change it.
Last night, though, I flew to Malaga and it happened all the way, including out over the sea.
As I got further south, and presumably because it got warmer, the land underneath started to "bleed" though, then the otherwise sharp perimeter of the square started to beak up.
I think I read a few days ago that there is a phenomenon that tries to replicate ground mist. Am I to assume this is it? If so, how can I stop it?
If anyone needs it I'll have a go an uploading a screen shot but I haven't got one as I write this.
Many thanks.
Allan
