I've started a FS records page where you can compare your accomplishments against other pilots; speed, altitude, distance and race times. Please check it out and send me your records for posting. http://www.geocities.com/kilodeuce/index.html

Only problem is that MSFS has a top limit on altitude (100,000ft) and speed (roughly mach 4.65). Good idea though, and if Microsoft eliminates the restrictions in the future, this will be an awesome site. (I'll keep my X-15 in storage until then)

Back when FS 2000 came out I took a space shuttle up to 100,000' to see if I would exit the atmophere. What happened was that the engine stopped dead at exactly 99,999' and I spiraled down.
I wonder if FS 2000 and later versions were written to do that, maybe on future versions you can attempt to penetrate the atmosphere and give you a look at eath from space and dodge some satelites

Even better head to other planets :D Course the sim rate would need to be accelerated, I'm sure spouses wouldn't like to lose us for months on end to Space Sim :D

I think the point is being lost somewhere... there are different categories to allow challenges, if all I cared about was going the highest and fastest... well then what would be the point of even keeping records or even turning the game on more then once and in that case why even spend the money to buy it?
