Hello Everyone,
I wanted to know if there is a program, or addon, avalible for FS2004 that will log your FS hours. Doest not need to record what aircraft, flight plan, nothing like that. Just the hours that you fly in any aircraft. Weather it be having fun and goofing around, or an IFR flight.
Thanks!

Try this link, this is what I use. Sounds like the lesser of the two programs there is what you're looking for. I use the FSFlightracker and it works great and gives a lot more information than I need.

Try this - you wont be disappointed. I've used it for over a year and wont fly without it.

While it doesn't tell you how many hours were inflight vs on the ground, FS9 already tracks engine run times. In WinXP, the files are located in "C:\Documents and Settings\account name\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9\AIRCRAFT\..." Account name being the user name for the computer. I'm sorry I don't know where these files are for other Operating Systems. You should be able to search for "state.cfg" on your computer to find it (I had to do an expanded search to include hidden files and folders). Each aircraft has it's own folder and within each folder is a file called state.CFG that stores accumulated engine time. This was something I read about right after the sim came out, and haven't really seen it mentioned since then.

What happens when you crash? Do those hours count? I do not crash that much but when I do I do not count the the hours- hopefully to make me a better pilot- so I manually enter mine. Also, during a real flight the pilot has to manually enter them into his/her logbook- just seems more real.
Just my 2 schillings worth!
Good luck!
