Problem #1: I've lost the ability to change nav/com freqs. on both default and add-on a/c - all other radio stack items okay. I had this prob. in FS2K2 but have forgotten how it was fixed.

Problem #2: I seem to be getting wrong wx cndns when downloading real-world wx. For example, current cndns @ CYTZ are ovrcst with 10 mile vsby, yet downloaded wx appears to be merely sctrd cld with unlimited vsby!?!

I'd appreciate rcvg any input on these.

Many Thanks,
legrinch

Does the NAV/COM freq changing problem occur on all your aircraft or just the ones you normally use. Open the aircraft.cfg file for the aircraft you are having problems. There are two &l;Radios&r; type sections, Active/Standby and Active Only:

Active/Standby - B737-400 and most other aircraft

&l;Radios&r;
// Radio Type = availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1 = 1
Com.1 = 1, 1
Com.2 = 1, 1
Nav.1 = 1, 1, 1
Nav.2 = 1, 1, 0
Adf.1 = 1
Transponder.1 = 1
Marker.1 = 1
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Active Only - LearJet 45

&l;Radios&r;
// Radio Type = availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1 = 1
Com.1 = 1, 0
Com.2 = 1, 0
Nav.1 = 1, 0, 1
Nav.2 = 1, 0, 0
Adf.1 = 1
Transponder.1 = 1
Marker.1 = 1

If the above is not your problem, check to see if you may have replaced your default FS2004 gauges with earlier gauges. Check the date stamps for the FS2004 gauges. If you find earlier dates than most of your gauges that may be your problem.

Lastly, rename your fs9.cfg file to fs9.cfg.OLD, restart FS2004, let it stabilize, and see if the problem is corrected. If so, delete fs9.cfg.OLD. If not, delete the new fs9.cfg and rename fs9.cfg.OLD to fs9.cfg.
