I'm thoroughly excited. I have done some research and I'm ready to fork over the money for a new motherboard. The reason for this is to get the most out of my computer.

I will be getting the ASUS P4P800 deluxe board, which will be replacing my ASUS P4S8X. The new board should greatly help with my computers performance, as it offers 800mhZ FSB while my old one offered a max of 4 x 133.
What do the experts think? Is this a wise decision. I seems like a great new board. Your input is appreciated.

When it comes to experts, I'm at the other end of the spectrum. But I
did build me an entirely new rig this past summer. Only thing I kinda
scrimped on was a Ti4200. I did go for a good MB, namely the P4P800
Deluxe. One of my sons is a software engineer and knows his puters.
He say's that MB rocks. I did a lot of research on sites like Tom's
Hardware, newegg, and several others. Not much bad, if anything, said
about the P4P800 or the Deluxe. Hope if you get it you're as pleased
as I've been.

Great! Thanks for the info. It sounds really awesome. I've decided to purchase some better, 2 512mb. PC3200 DDRAM with it as well. I'll trade in my old stuff. The place I go to buys lots of older parts.
