Although I have some probs to iron out,I'm fascinated with what I
have done so far. Using AFCAD2 and ttools for KMSY I have turned it
into an active airport. Guess the problem that bothers me the most is
some aircraft approaching in a porpoise fashion like they were coming
in on a roller coaster. Others do a go-around without being told to
by ATC. Some of them can be identified (AirTran, Delta, Southwest,
etc.) I've watched them around sunrise/sunset and followed the strobe
lights, but they eventually just disappear on the horizon, apparently
never really performing a bona fide go-around. Has anyone witnessed
any of this behaviour and does anyone know how to rectify it.

What traffic program (if any) are you using? UT's upgrade fixed an issue like this, but I never heard what the cause was.
I thought the dissapearing was caused by a lack of parking, but apparently you've fixed that.
Have you coded both the gates and the aircraft? I have no idea if any of this helps at all...sorry.

Not using any traffic program. Simply AFCAD2 and have 38 parking
spots (mostly Gates for Commercial and Cargo for UPS/Fedex).Am using
ttools to create flight plans. Most everything works as expected but,
even with gates and aircraft coded, all is not well in sim world.
Thanks for your interest and reply.

I've had this experience too and found the airfile to be the culprit. I read somewhere that aircraft designed to fly do not always make for good AI since the airfiles are tweaked differently. See if you can find a similar aircraft type which does work well and use the airfile and cfg from that but remember to use the contact points and lights sections from the original.

Good hunting

Yup it's the air file OK. Most ai you may have used in fs2002 need updated files.

Pai have launched a new set of fs2004 fde files for their aircraft and ardvaark are also in the process of doing the same (check their forum for early fixes)

Mucho gracias mi amigos. Don't know a lot of Spanish but I really
appreciate your help.
