Weird contrails in AI traffic 2004

Has anyone else experienced the wierd contrails/jet trails from AI traffic in 2004? When i pan veiw around the jet streams from AI craft have the usual horizontil trail, but from the same starting point on the plane, there's a trail that slops down towards the ground?much like a rope dragging. Has anyone else seen the same thing, and is there a fix for it?

Having the same problem. Add to that, at altitude I get a double set of contrails from the aircraft I am flying as well; ones straight back as per normal and one set streaming off down to the ground.
Anyone have an idea on why this is or how to fix it?

Yep,

I'm seeing the same weird contrails. I noticed them the other night on a flight from EWR to ORD.

At first I thought it was MS's way of showing the contrail dissipate, but then I thought to myself, "that looks stupid," they wouldn't do that would they?

Anyway, I hope they read this thread and offer some thoughts on a fix.
