Ladies and Gentlemen,
Any advice on how to get FD3 to load into FS9?
I tried to add it, when someone posted about Arrestor Cables yesterday and there are no options about where to load the program.

Thoughts?

BTW... living in St Louis, I also am disappointed about the lack of bridges or not so great looking ones, however.. If a pilot is more concerned about whats on the ground than whats in the air.. shouldnt they be driving?

Other than that, Im very happy with FS9...I dont like playing in windowed mode ( radeon 9700 ) but I have 3 choices... Fly in windowed mode... put up with the flicker and wait for a driver update or buy a different video card.. I think I will stick with 1 and 2.

The scenery loads just fine if you mimic the installation.

Copy the FD3 and FD3_B folders that are in FS2002\scenedb\ into your Flight Simulator 9\scenery\ folder.

Here's a blunderbuss way to get the textures:
Rename your fs9\textures folder to fs9\textures_installed, add a new fs9\textures folder, copy your fs2002\textures into that new folder, then copy your fs9\textures_installed files into fs9\textures and overwrite what's there. That way you're guaranteed to get the old textures but any textures that have the same names will be overwritten by the new ones, so you won't damage your new files.

Then go into settings > scenery library in FS2004 and add those two new folders that are in scenery\. Make sure the order is the same as they appear in your fs2k2 scenery library, because one of those must be higher priority than the other or the scenery will not work properly.

As I mentioned earlier, Abacus and I are working out the details on an FS2004 Flight Deck III, hopefully with FS2004-compatible ArrestorCables utility.

Beware of jet blasts, jet intakes, props and rotors,
