If so, I would like to hear some feedback on the best drivers for use on the geforce3. Successes or failures welcome!!!!!!!!
Thanks!
John
I'm using the latest driver availiable at the nvidia site. I wouldn't go back too far in driver versions since FS2004 requires DX9...

I heard 45.20 Beta Drivers were excellent and had improved the color quality as well. You can get the beta drivers at http://www.guru3d.com

Hi John,
I just purchased and loaded FS2004 about an hour ago. My old rig-Athlon 850, GeForce3 Ti500, 256mb-ram etc. seems to be running o.k. (not fabulous). Sliders are generally @3/4's. The water looks weird; it's a strange color. Kinda looks like the water in CFS2. Also got quite a bit of shimmering...we've all seen that before. I'll need to work on settings.
Right now I'm using 30.82's. I was forced to roll-back 44.03's(which I liked very much)because they would not play DVD's with my card. Some sort of TV out problem.
I'll spend the next few days familiarizing myself with the sim's ideosynrasies(man, where'd that come from), and post some more impressions.
I've been thinking about building a new system for some time, and FS2004 may inspire me to finally get moving on it.
Best Regards,
Mitch

I'm using the 4345 drivers on my G3 Ti 200. The official version is 6.14.01.4345.

Thanks for all the replies! In regards to the shimmering, set mipmapping to 4.
