View Full Version : Preordering FS2004 at pcaviator.com?

Has anybody ever ordered something through pcaviator.com? I'm trying to obtain FS2004 before it's released here in The Netherlands, though the time underway would probably equal it out mostly. However, more important is that ordering at pcaviator.com would save me 16 euros (18 dollars) with shipping and handling included. And besides, the American version has a cool metal casing, or so I heard... :D

Can anyone tell me whether or not I should order there? Any feedback is highly appreciated.

Sorry Johan,

I do most of my online purchasing through either Amazon.com, or EBgames.com. Both of them to me have been great, and very quick in processing the orders,

I don't know about ordering from them, but I do receive the e-mail ads all the time. I have ordered from http://www.flightsimcentral.com and had very good service! (I didn't check out what shipping costs might be).

LAST EDITED ON Jun-30-03 AT 07:58AM (EDT)[p]Thanks guys. Apreciate the replies. Looks like I'll be pre-ordering through PCAviator after all, since the replies look encouraging.

I took a look at FlightSimCentral and Amazon, but they were both way too expensive in shipping costs. Amazon.com en EBGames.com also refuse to ship to my home. The UK variant, amazon.co.uk, would be about equally expensive as buying here, so no deal.

Hey,

I'm also from the Netherlands and it seems a very good idea to buy Fs2004 at that site. However, isn't PCAviator based in Australia. If it is, first, it's strange that shipping cost is so cheap and second, I'm not sure if they box the sim in the tin case. If they do, great!!

Beste Johan,

Are you sure that you can play australian/american software in your computer? It might be encoded to be played in land-compatible systems, like DVDs, or I am talking the biggest nonsense here?!

One more thing Johan,

How did you confirm that buying at PCaviator.com saves you 16 euros? The price is &54 isn't it? I thought we paid the same price in euros here in Holland.

And you are right, PCaviator is american based.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-30-03 AT 11:34AM (EDT)[p]Dirk,

Dynabyte has an expected price of €79,95, and usually there pretty much near the ballpark. PCAviator charged me $54.95 and $8.70 for shipping, making a grand total of $63.65. In euros that would be about €56,-. Savings: about €24.

<surprise mode> Hmmm... I would have sworn I calculated €16,- the first time and a second time in a private e-mail exchange later. I'm loosing it... :-hmmm Probably included shipping twice the first time. (Tony, it's 24, I'm pretty sure it is...:-roll) <end of surprise mode>

Anyway, €24,- is more than enough to pursuade me in buying from overseas. And, to answer your question regarding regional issues. Software does not have these problems, DVDs do, as you rightly pointed out. Should work like a charm.

Johan,

Which shipping option did you choose, as every international option I chose is more than $8,70.
