LAST EDITED ON Jun-27-03 AT 02:03PM (EDT)[p]This question is geared toward those of you who have been lucky enough to be using FS2004 already. :)

Last year, CYFC (Fredericton, NB, Canada) completed a runway expansion, elongating 09/27 from 5100 ft to 8010 ft.

I was just wondering if this completed extension was reflected in FS2004 and if they fixed the problem with the Saint John River "bulging" up at the end of 15/33 due to the nature of the airport scenery? Pictures aren't necessary, unless you're really bored. :)

Thanks in advance!

Here are a couple of pictures, so judge for yourself:

Thank you very much for the screenshots!

While it does appear 09/27 is still the old length (unless I'm very bad at measuring from perspective), they (thankfully) don't have the weird elevation bug from the airport itself in FS2004. In FS2002, the water around the island rose up about 30 or 40 feet in a weird creepy waterfall hill effect.

Oh well, looks like I am gonna have to learn to modify runways afterall. :)

Thank you once again for the shots!

There are many, many instances of inconsistent water levels within FS2002 especially around shorelines. A 'fix' is to create a flatten switch for the particular set of coordinates which describe the area of concern. In the same vein, there are many, many instances of 'holes' and other cavities on land surfaces within the sim as well, which can also be repaired with a flatten switch.

It will come as no great surprise if such fixes will be required in the next version of FS.
