Installing FS2004 Beta

Hi all!

I just recieved fs2004 beta release from a vendor show, and it installs quite fine, but when i want to play it, it asks for me to insert cd4.

Which i do, Then it comes up and says error, cd not in drive.

The disks all have this written on the front label
"Disc expires on August 15, 2003."

They were shrink wrapped and havnt been used before, so what is going on????

The 4th disc is probably corrupted and can't be read by the drive.

Hammer, have you ever disabled "auto insert notification" in the cd-rom's "properties"? It sounds to me like that's the problem you're having. I actually had that problem once, while installing a piece of software. Hope it helps.

What is actually going on is that you received illegal software that should have NEVER been given to you.

The beta is never for distribution, except for those on the beta team or members of the media, and they are NOT allowed to re-distribute it. Only MS decides who gets the beta.

Won't be the first time this has happened.

No surprise that the software will expire, that's pretty standard.

I hate to say this, but I have no choice but to lock this thread.
