First off I'd highly recommend you using the "autosave" utility by Pete Dowson.

Name: autosave.zip Size: 8,302 Date: 12-20-2004 Downloads: 1711
FS98/FS2000/FS2002/FS2004 AutoSave v1.50. A utility that will save flights ("STN" files) at regular intervals, so you can retry that crashed landing or quickly recover from other problems. By Pete Dowson.

Regarding your actual problem I'd recommend you asking in the Hardware Forum as well. Could be a power supply or heat related problem but I'm not sure.

Are you possibly using a radio keyboard and/or mouse? Sometimes these devices also make problems (especially if the batteries are low).

Hi Mally,

In addition to Michael's good advice ........

When you get the freeze-up, Press ALT+TAB - That should minimize FS2002 and put you back to the desktop, (if it is just a keyboard mouse lock-up). - If that doesn't work, you are getting a total system freeze. Turn Your sliders down.
