Aircraft selection makes my view angle zoomed in...

I'm having an issue where if I want to select a plane other than what is assigned on the flight i am flying, the spot view all of a sudden zooms way in on the plane. I notice it right away when I go into alt/aircraft/select aircraft and in the window my plane is so close, I can only see the engine and the interior so to speak. Then after I select it, I have to go to the spot view, from view options change the view distance back to like 300 ft. to get it back to normal. I don't know why it got whacked all of a sudden, but I don't remember how to fix it :-hmmm
