FS2002 uninstall problem

I had a problem with Flight Sim 2002 and need to uninstall it. It will not uninstall from add/remove or programmes. Opened the parent folder and tried from there, but still no joy. tried the No1 disc and even that will not kick start the uninstallation. It gets to "initializing uninstallation" and just hangs there. Have any of you experts out there had this problem or know how I might get this thing to uninstall.

It shouldn't hang there. It usually takes a while. just wait 10 minutes
