View Full Version : How to edit Speed in the MCDU of PSS A320 ??

Hello.

I don't know how i can fly faster then 301knts/0.25Mach Ground Speed with the PSS A320.
Does somebody know where and how to edit the Cruising Speed in the MCDU, that i can fly faster then 301kts ?

Ich werde in dieser Sache nicht schlau aus dem Handbuch des PSS A320.
Meine Frage: Wo und wie kann ich den Speed, den das Flugzeug fliegen soll im MCDU einstellen ? Ich kann derzeit nie schneller als 301 Knoten Ground Speed/0.25Mach fliegen.

Wer kann helfen?

Hello McDeejay,

when you open the MCDU you should be on the INIT page, if not press the INIT button on the scratch pad and enter a higher cost index.
You can also go to the PERF page and go to the Cruise CRZ menu and enter a new cruise speed manually.

Don't forget that the airbus recognizes speed restrictions, for example below 10,000ft the airbus won't fly faster than 250kts IAS (round about Mach .30), unless you enter a new speed in the FCP and right click the knob. A left click brings you in the managed mode again.

So either you can enter you desired speed in the FCP, MCDU (PERF CRZ page) or enter a new Cost Index. Don't forget that a higher cost index won't affect the speed restrictions.

Das Problem besteht immernoch !

Egal, welchen Cost-Index ich einstelle, der MCDU sucht sich den Cruise-Speed immer selber aus. Vor dem Start, erscheint auf der Flugplan-Anzeige im MCDU noch die gewünschte Cruise-Speed von ca. 0.78Mach, jedoch nach dem Start, ändert der MCDU das einfach !

Was kann ich tun, das Problem hatte ich früher nicht und ihr anscheinend auch nicht...

P.S. Bei einem Flug, den ich gerade mache, stellt er automatisch 0.54 Mach Cruise-Speed ein...das kann nicht ökonomisch sein.

Also wer kann mir da helfen ?
