VOR Navigation...?

Does anyone have some good tips on using the VOR in FS like in a 172? I know how VOR works and everything, but I can't seem to get around with it to well without using the GPS. How do you enter a VOR stations frequency down to the last teeny decimals? What is the VOR set to when you go to just any airport? Is there a place in FS where you can find the VOR frequency for any airport? How do you use DME? I can't use it unless it's like in a lesson or something.

Also, can you actually open the 2 or 3rd doors in C172 using Shift E then 2 or 3? Never worked for me!Just the main door opens.Not a big deal, just curious.Thankyou!

Only the pilot's door opens on the default C172. Most of the default aircraft only open the left-side door. Using Shift E, 2 on some of the larger jet aircraft will open a cargo hold door on the right-side. Non of the default aircraft use Shift E, 3/4.
