Hi all,

I have recently upgraded my computer to Win XP Pro using a full format & install. I have a annoying ticking I hear in the background. It is very faint but it will get louder as I turn up the volume. I is also in all planes. I have all the latest Win XP drivers. I have a Sound Blaster Live sound card. Any ideas? Thanks.

Which chipset does your motherboard have? If it is a VIA chipset, did you go to www.viaarena.com and download the latest 4-in-1 (Now called Hyperion.) drivers?
Edit: Did you do an upgrade of the OS, or a clean (formatted) install? Sorry, just reread your post and this question doesn't apply.

Try to change the PCI slot for the sound card.
