For me its been all the addon aircraft, put out by awesome developers, and the ATC that was not included in FS2000.

For me, the bit i enjoyed best was loading it up, and being well and truly amazed at how much it improved over FS2000.

Cheers,

GMax. For me, GMax is way more efficient for creating aircraft.

The thing I most enjoyed about FS2002 was that it wasn't FS2000.

I've only used Fs 2K2, and although the default scenery is good, when you go to your home town it is disapointing that it looks nothing like the real place, with the autogen. For me, the add-on scenery (noteably the freeware designs) makes it all the better.

For me it was finally completing all 4 checkrides. I had FS98, never devoted the time needed to do the checkrides, but I was not impressed w/ FS98. I didn't buy FS2000. I got the urge to fly again & bought FS02. Then I took the checkrides seriously. ATC is a nice added feature. But I'm looking forward to FS04!

LAST EDITED ON Jul-08-03 AT 09:45PM (EDT)[p]For me it was the thrill of flying my Cessna above the Great Wall of China.

Sorry, just kidding! (I did like seeing Graceland though.)

Actually I loved all the add-on aircraft, and the smooth performance and the great scenery... all of which has been mentioned before.

But the thing I liked best about it... was the fact that I didn't have to go out and buy a new computer to run it on! :-)
It ran just fine on my Duron 700 and ATI Rage Fury Pro 32MB Graphics card. On that system, FS2000 was so choppy I couldn't stand it, so I went back to playing FS98. When FS2002 came out, I went out and bought it at Electronics Boutique, thinking that I could use their 10-day return policy if my system couldn't handle it. Needless to say, it didn't get returned!!! Not only that, but i finally uninstalled FS98 for good too. :-)

Oh! One more thing I almost forgot to mention... I liked being able to have multiple liveries for the aircraft in the same folder. It helped me keep things organized.

I liked adding the extra AI flights too. I didn't get so lonely flying. :-)

Going into the aircraft folder and organizing and adding new aircraft, panels, sounds, etc... I do that more than I actually fly.

Landing in Frankfurt everyday, whether I like to or not.

I love the Autogen and Gmax. I finally got to build my hometown in the sim and fly over it. A thing I always dreamed about since FS II!
As I liked the ATC in Flight Unlimited I surely liked to have it in FS2k2.
Dont't forget the effects! Sun shining on water, Smoke, fountains, vulcanos, fireworks, aurora borealis, shooting stars... just mentioning them wants me to start up the sim!

guess we're just all sim-junkies, huh? :-lol

Aircraft rates at the top, but for me it has to be the ability to create - thanks to the generous creators - all kinds of realistic AI traffic anywhere, anytime. Just think back to the FS5, FS98, and even FS2000 (in the begining). Everybody at one time or another had to say to themselves, "sure would be nice to see my airports & skies filled up with traffic".!! :7

I have to say that I enjoy just about everything about FS2K2. Seems like everytime I fire it up, I like something new/different about it. I feel, as I did when I quit FS98,
that I'll be leaving an old friend when I move up to FS2K4.

First of all the autogen scenery and all the wonderful terrain meshes from some talented designers, they make all the diferance when flying through the valleys of BC. Secondly I'd say the add-on airport scenery both payware and freeware and third the AI add-ons.

Reminds me of the first time i saw a shooting star in 2k2, doing night circuits at EGNX in the DF Archer... nearly s**t myself! :-lol

FS2002 is the first flight simulator I have ever had (I know - at age 58 that is so sad) and I hasve enjoyed everything.

Roll on FSCOF.

Well, I'm still enjoying (present tense) FS2002 ! And the best bit ? After FS98, realistic terrain (I'm also a mesh junkie) and the advances in the plane designs, especially at the Payware end of the sim, with the likes of DreamFleet, Flight1, FSD etc. producing some hugely enjoyable products.

Enjoying it as another great simulation after Train Simulator (which I used before FS and still use) :-) They are actually still absolutely amazing if you simply learn not to expect too much.
