Hi ugly pigeon,

Thanks a lot for the info ;got the files dwnld.
BUT ;to use garmin ,they say in the read-me, that you MUST download the "Garmin 400 series trainer" file on their site ,but avionics.com is now offline!
Do you know where to get this indispensable file?

Many thanks and greetings

There's this other site, www.flightsim.com, that has the files too. It's supposed to be an OK site...

The required trainers are found at the Garmin web site, not sure what "avionics.com" is...

These are the direct links:

http://www.garmin.com/software/simulators/TRAIN530.EXE

Sorry guys I wasn't trying to plug avsim. I just saw it on their site, and I was surprised that flightsim didn't announce they had the files too. These files are about as good as freeware comes. Happy flying!

I downloaded and installed the Garmin 530 along with the key generator and the 530 trainer. All went well. But when I went to run the program my computer locks up and I have to unplug the computer to turn it off. The power button will not do anything on the CPU. I have never had this problem before. I have a 3 year old Dell 450. Is it too old to run the 530? If so will the 430 work on it?

Thanks
