Im just getting back from the mailbox with my nice little certificate in my hand.

Some of you probably are aware that I have been attending night and day classes over the past two years working towards a aviation dispatchers license.

About a month ago I found out that I have enough credits to qualify for graduation. My studys qualified me for a Certificate in Aviation Operations. My certificate will provide me with some bonus points so to say in getting a job with the airline working in the capacity of the operations department.

I am still planning on completing my FAAs testing for my ADX but at least maybe I can get my foot into one of the BIGBOYS first and prove my way into the dispatch center.

Boy having credentials is a neat feeling........

Congratulations also.

Is this certificate the equivalent of an associate’s degree? One of the main things the HR (human resources) folks look for besides having the minimum requirements (dispatcher ticket), would be are you "Trainable" and can you complete something you started. That is where having some sort of degree or certification comes in when they try to sort out the applicants.

Congratulations Randy.

I know you have been working hard on that, so great job, and let us know when you get to an airline.

Joe
