I've been having a problem with making turns using my heading hold on the autopilot. Whenever the plane starts to turn to the heading I select, it starts bouncing up and down rapidly, causing me to lose altitude following with ATC getting pissed with me. It's been happening with the Lear 45 frequently, but has happened occasionally in other aircraft. It only happens when I'm in level flight traveling Mach .81. Anyone else having this problem?

I don't know whether it's any help, but you'll only
eventually solve all these type of problems by going
to a high standard payware like PSS.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-07-03 AT 03:20AM (EST)[p]Try this:
in the Lear45 aircraft .cfg file edit the following section:

pitot_static
vertical_speed_time_constant=1 <--- change to 500

What exactly would this do? What is it that I am actually changing? I know how to do it and all, just I don't know what these lines do.

I don't remember exactly,but it edits the response to the AP input,which works differently in 2k2 than it did in previous versions. 500 is actually a small increase (milliseconds,I beleive).If it doesn't fix your problem, do keep it in mind for the porposing effect in some planes,as it definately fixes that.

Funny, I don't see the following listed in the Lear45 .CFG file:

pitot_static
vertical_speed_time_constant=1

Do I need to add this myself somewhere or should this be in that file?
