Hi guys,
Yesterday I bought my new video card, the Geforce 4 MX 440 and I was really disapointed with the result. Before I had a Geforce 2 Herucles MX 64mb and I had realy good textures and wonderful chrome reflections but I aslo had bad Frame Rates on FS2002. With my new video card installed and drivers updated, I'm having better Frame rates and very good sharp textures but unfortunately I lost all my chrome reflections on my aircrafts. My FS2002 settings are all set to the full and still nothing happened. Can anyone that experianced this problem help me out with some settings or updates? Please help me :-mad x( :-mad

Hi!

This was discussed a few weeks ago (after christmas, Santa brought new Video-cards...) in the forum:
All you need is gf4mxdsp.zip! This will fix your problem. Had the same, but now reflections are back.

Greetings from Vienna, Europe

This has been discussed many times before. The GeForce 4 MX was not designed for the gamer and doesn't support reflections without the above mentioned file from Flightsim.com. It's based on GeForce 2 technology and is slow compared to the GF4 Ti which doesn't cost that much more anymore.

Think you've got computer problems? You haven't until you've installed the latest version of FS!

Just to qualify, it supports reflections just fine - just not in FS2002 for which that file is a specific fix.

Hey Mauro,

...just for future reference. I used to own nothing but NVidia cards but ever since FS2K2 came out I switched to ATI. ATI Radeon Series cards where specifically designed for gaming. You can't go wrong with ATI. Like I said, just for future reference. I hope that everything is okay with you card now.

Regards,

Jose
