Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone knew of some of the better helicopters available for FS2002.

Without question, the best whirly-birds are Antti Pankkonen's Dauphins. They fly wonderfully, look outstanding, and have an incredible avionics package including a four-axis FD/Autopilot.

Do a search at the flightsim file area using Jordon Moore as a search keyword. Anything by him is just incredible!!!! Make sure you download his Bell 205, complete package. The flight dynamics are awesome, the visual precise, and sound that will knock your socks off!!!

I like Jean-Marie Mermaz's Bell 47. (I was about six when I won a ride in one from a local radio station. I've loved them ever since.)
I throw in another vote for the 47.
Add my vote for the Bell 47. Unquestionably the most accurate and most detailed helicopter addon ever to appear -- freeware or payware.

The Sikorsky Hawks are the best helicopters I've ever had. (But they are payware, although reasonable $6.00, and they are really worth it!!!! You can even get a real instrument package for them!!!). Dwight Booth built some other nice models, too, and they also have excellent customer support.
The helicopters I like second best is the Bell47 and the Dauphin mentioned above.

Also there, just released today, is a CH-53E Super Stallion - something I haven't seen release freeware or payware before. I know there was a CH-53D release by Slomo Hakim some time ago, but this is a totally new model of a completely different variant.
More along this line coming soon, too. More than that I cannot say.
