This happened in the screenie forum a couple of days ago, so I think we are experiencing the same technical difficulties as the other forum.

This is the opportunity for all newbies!
Ask all the idiot questions you want, and no one can put you down by saying "Blockhead, this question has been asked and answered eleven-and-a-half pages ago, canīt you look for it yourself!"
So donīt miss this chance!

Oh really..? You think the absence of theads in a forum somehow excuses the basic requirement to think for oneself..?
I wish I could live in the simplistic world you seem to inhabit.
Mith? More like `myth` to me...
Personally, I feel this is the opportunity the newbies need. No replies to basic questions here for the moment, so they either go elsewhere, sparing us the trouble, or they
go find out for themselves
which is more than half the fun.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-23-02 AT 08:06AM (EST)[p]Simon, if you want to live in my "simplistic" world.. strap on a 9mm and bullet proof vest and get ready to rock 'cause that's what I've been doing for 15 years in Los Angeles County my friend. Jerks are everywhere including this forum. Unfortunately, in this forum I can not issue citations for being rude in public.
You might have flightsim answers, but you have no people skills. I doubt there are many newbies or old timers who want to listen to your on-going crap. Give it a rest, we are tired of your abuse. Play nice or don't play at all!

I see. In your simplistic world you have become the arbiter of taste and decency, have you..? You forget, this is an international forum, and your sense of propriety and what constitutes `rude` is not shared by all. However, to seek to impose that interpretation on the rest of the community is the very height of rudeness, especially as you seem to have to do it down the barrel of a gun.

And you take, take, take. But never seem to give... Let's see a couple of hundred posts from you actually offering some help to these `newbies` then, eh?
Curious things statistics: If I reviewed all my posts and then reviewed all your posts, you would be the one with a higher proportion of whinging, moaning, bleating and pleading.
Even Walt has taken up my suggestion and is actively helping new arrivals to the forum (See Walt, I do notice these things!)
I have people skills, but as you are not a `person`, merely a non-identifying alias and a hidden profile I can't see the need to relate to you at all. You're just words on a page. And empty words at that, until/unless you practice what you preach...
At the moment you're the one not `playing`, just sponging like so many others. Here is the ideal opportunity for you to give back to the community and you can't or won't, seemingly because you don't have your `9mm` and the `bulletproof vest`... Could that be, I wonder, because you realise that your arguments alone couldn't hold weight?
